Our hotel has quadrupled in size over the years. The buildings reflect the spirit of the times. The fireplace hall in the former golf hotel is furnished with classic upholstered furniture and dark wood. In the centre, the One Million Stars Bar sets a glittering accent.
The lobby of the main building is characterised by lots of glass and high ceilings. Its name ‘Bärgblick’ is no coincidence: the panoramic windows open up to the surrounding mountains.
The third house surprises guests with its many parlours and dining rooms. Each room is furnished according to its own theme. Here we pick up on the local colour and reflect on regional values and traditions.
Sunny plateau in an alpine landscape
Close to Gstaad and yet away from the hustle and bustle: the chalet village of Schönried is located on a sunny plateau just ten minutes by car from Gstaad. Whether wakeboarding on the mountain lake or downhill skiing in the wintry mountain air – Schönried is ideal for active holidays.
As a guest at the ERMITAGE Wellness- & Spa-Hotel, you will find hiking trails and cross-country ski trails right on the doorstep. Explore the surrounding area on your own or with our nature guides.
Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy
The Hotel ERMITAGE is an official partner hotel of the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy. A special attraction is open to our guests: be there when Maurice Steger and others hold masterclasses in our ballroom. Listen to the rehearsals and attend the students' concerts as part of the Baroque Academy. In this way, we are also following in the tradition of Menuhin, who was always keen to pass on his knowledge.
Our responsibility
As a wellness pioneer, we are committed to sustainability. Our outdoor & indoor salt water pool is purified using a modern filter system and salt electrolysis. No chlorine is added here, but is formed directly from the salt water. This allows us to use significantly fewer chemicals.

The ERMITAGE Wellness- & Spa-Hotel is surrounded by greenery with far-reaching views of the mountains. As if nature on our doorstep wasn't enough, you will find a spacious, sunny hotel park.
We decorate our hotel weekly with seasonal bouquets and flower arrangements. Whether for weddings, birthdays or surprises – we are happy to put together bouquets and flower arrangements according to your wishes. Visit us on site from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 5pm. Wellness pioneer
Pioneer in the 1970s, today the largest wellness provider in the region: Hotel ERMITAGE on the sunny Alpine plateau found its purpose early on. Since then, the hotel and its range of services have been continuously expanded and adapted to changing needs.
